Fair Housing
According to the federal Fair Housing Act, it is illegal to consider race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability or family status in rental, sales, lending or homeowner’s insurance decisions. Under the Minnesota Human Rights Law, it is also illegal to discriminate based on one’s creed, sexual or affectional orientation, marital status and receipt of public assistance.
The CDA Board of Commissioners has adopted the following Fair Housing Policy:

Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI)
The Fair Housing Implementation Council (FHIC) was established in 2002 to coordinate efforts of its participating members to comply with their obligations to affirmatively further fair housing throughout the Twin Cities metro housing market area. The Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) is completed regionally by FHIC, and is required as a recipient of federal CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds. Ramsey County hosts the FHIC’s website, which includes the most recent AIs:
