Senior Housing
The Dakota County CDA created the Senior Housing Program in 1988 to provide affordable rental housing to Dakota County’s growing and active senior population. Since then, the CDA has developed senior housing developments in the 11 major cities in Dakota County.
The Senior Housing Program is designed for adults age 62+. The developments offer residents a sense of community while they enjoy their golden years.
Preference is given to applicants who live, work or have immediate family (mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister) residing in Dakota County or to households that do not have a permanent address in Dakota County, but receive benefits from Dakota County Employment & Economic Assistance (such as DWP, GA, MFIP, MSA, and SNAP).
All senior buildings are beautifully decorated, offer one- and two-bedroom apartments and are equipped with amenities such as:
- Community room with kitchen
- Sitting areas
- Libraries
- Laundry facilities
- Underground heated parking
- Smoke-free units and campuses
All waiting lists are currently open. To apply visit: www.myhousing.dakotacda.org.
